Uganda’s kickboxing champion Golola Moses is on the run after he failed
to pay rent fees for close to eight months.
He fled his apartment in Mutundwe-Kigaga zone on New Year’s Eve until
today, for fear of being nabbed and humiliated in public.
However the kick boxer has been sleeping in the house despite his
failure to meet rent requirements.
When approached about the matter, Golola said, he has a right to sleep
anywhere he wants whenever he wants.
According to the owner of the house, Golola has not paid rent since
April Last year despite his regular appearance at the apartment.
After the
fleeing the house, Golola left one of the rooms closed and the owners are
worried of what could have been left in the room.
By the
time our snoops reached the place, Golola’s abandoned house was full of empty
bottles of Rock Boom Energy drink.
The head
of Man Property Agency, (the owners of the house), Eng. Abdul Mugisha has vowed to get Golola
wherever he is hiding and take him to Police to pay for the property spoiled in
the house and the water bills of worth 200,000 Ugandan shillings he has left
behind.
This comes after his recent infamous win over Egyptian kick boxer
Mohammed Galal in a fight dubbed Battle of the Nile held at Mario Flo hotel in
Jinja on 20th December last year.
Golola named
the fight against the Egyptian “The Battle of The Nile” following Egypt’s
historical battles to control the River Nile that has its source in Uganda but
is the lifeline of Egypt.
