Mayinja survives flop syndrome


Friday night was a night veteran singer Ronald Mayinja may never forget since he survived a flop by a whisker.

Held at Theatre La Bonita, Mayinja and other singing friends performed to their fans in a concert dubbed ‘Best of Mayinja’.

The show kicked off at around 7:30 PM with Senkubugge Siasa famously known as Byansi as the host who kept the fair crowd active all through the night.

The first famous artist on stage was Mathias Walukagga who never disappointed with his back to back Kadongokamu hits of all time.

The stage was later taken over by Maureen Nantume, Rema Namakula among others who entertained the fans as the show unfolded.

At around 9:11PM the main act Ronald Mayinja took the podium amidst cheers from the crowd, which by then was steadily growing but with many free seats still.

He performed along with Chris Evans, before giving way for the bummy Catherine Kusasira and her hubby to drive the show.

He later came back after several performances from other artistes and gave his fans back to back hits until a few minutes to midnight when he stepped off the stage.




Straka lands Da Boss bar deal


WBS TV late night presenter Straka Mwezi must be smiling from ear to ear after securing a huge deal with the Kansanga based Da Boss bar.

Inside sources at the hangout have it on record that the plump star has sealed a deal with the management to always host several theme nights.

Among them will be the Thursday celebrity night, as well as UTAKE night, which will see her bagging some huge sums of money.

UTAKE night is all about music from the East African countries Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya every Saturdays.

The deal, according to sources, was finalized last week at the hangout, with the proprietor—Ken Muyisa.

It’s not clear how much she will mint from this deal, but snoop say it may enough money that every independent women wouldn’t resist.

DAVID KIJANAGOMA DECLARED TOORO KING BY SUPPORTERS

Prince David Kijanangoma, a member of Tooro royal family has declared himself ‘King' of Tooro. He said he would oust King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV from the main palace in Harukoto within a period of two months and requested the Batooro to rally behind him in a pursuit for change in the kingdom.

Kijanangoma made the declaration during a function attended by a mammoth crowd at his palace in Rwengoma, Fort Portal last evening.
The function was graced by senior members of the Tooro royal family, among them Prince Sweeney Kaijamurubi, the only surviving child of Omukama David Kyebambe Kasagama, the tenth Omukama of Tooro and eldest son of Rukirabasaija Nyaika Mukabirere Olimi II.
Kijanangoma emerged from the palace dressed in the traditional cloth, the Kanzu, and waved to the guests at around 6; 30 pm. He then took his place amid cheers and ululations. They chanted "Hangiriza! Hangiriza Omukama" or "Hail to the King!" and they prostrated and knelt before of him.
The guests were entertained by the Amakondere dance, which is only performed in the presence of the King. 5 million Shillings was also raised for the renovation of the palace and upkeep for the Prince.
“From today onwards I am the King of Tooro. I will in two months' time walk from Rwengoma to the Kingdom palace and take over the leadership of Tooro Kingdom,” Kijanangoma said amidst cheers from the guests.

New tycoon storms Kampala.

As the locals are making noise over the old renowned tycoons in the city, a new big spender has rocked the scene in a ballistic format.

One Jack Pemba has shocked Ugandans when he held a mega birthday party that had the guest list only filled by renowned city individuals and ministers.

It was held over the weekend at Speke Resort Munyonyo with only cream audience in attendance.
Snoops revealed that the party costed over SHS. 100M an amount of money that would be double the initial capital required by an average person.

The birthday party had youth Minister Ronald Kibuule, Roger Mugisha as the MC, Desire Luzinda, and others all in attendance.

Zuena unleashes killer curves.


Struggling TV personality Zuena Kirema is continuing to haunt men and women who are envious about her body and lifestyle.

She paraded killer curves on Valentine’s night when she stepped out to have fun with her husband Moses Ssali.

In a white short skirt, all her flesh was left for the eyes to judge as several men were sent into a whopper clash.

She is with no doubt one of the sexiest women in the country though crtitics say she does so much than her age is supposed to do.

Kansiime lands Maisha Magic deal.


Following the stiff speculations that have been making rounds in the public and media, comic Anne Kansiime on Sunday evening let loose the highly anticipated information.

Through her social media handles, Kansiime sent her fans across the continent into tears of joy after she announced that her TV show ‘don’t mess with Kansiime’ is set for a magical comeback.

However, the show will not be on the former station Citizen TV since she penned a deal with DSTV’s Maisha magic.

This comes after she was given unceremonious exit from the Kenyan broadcasting giants following an alleged misunderstanding with the management.

This also follows a stunning image she posted online of her and her hubby Ojok but the husband could hardly be seen considering his dark skin.

Ham to refurbish Nakivubo Stadium.

THE BLUEPRINT OF THE PROJECT
Just weeks after the young tycoon shocking Ugandans about his multibillion mansion, Hamis Kigundu famously known as Ham is set to revamp Nakivubo stadium to an international level.

Ham met President Yoweri Museveni on Tuesday at the presidential home in Rwakitura where the blueprint of the stadium was presented for scrutiny and discussion.

Museveni was asronished by the ideas that were flowing from the young billionaire and urged him to give other struggling youths a piece of advice on how to develop themselves.

Upon completion, the stadium is expected to accommodate about 10  gyms, swimming pools, and other sports facilities, plus expansion of the parking space.

Ham is a young tycoon who has done a commendable job of erecting several malls and complexes around Kampala city which has beautified the city.

He owns Ham towers located in Wandegeya and Ham shopping grounds that accomodate New city supermarket adjacent to Nakivubo stadium.

He is currently building a mansion estimated to cost around 6 billion Shillings upon completion. It is located in Ggaba on the shores of Lake Victoria.

Several locals have come out to support the current development project from the tycoon since it will reduce on the hiking unemployment rates in the country.
